You don’t need any gear or equipment to explore the underwater world when you go Freediving. It is also the best way to get rid of all the stress and worries of your daily life. When you go underwater, you will be one with the ocean and experience its silence and beauty firsthand.
People have been diving “free” for thousands of years for various reasons, such as exploration and in search of food. In recent years, “Skin Diving” has morphed into Freediving and has blossomed into a sport that is both competitive and recreational. A lot of people don’t realize that they have already been at least once in their life. Anyone who has held one’s breath underwater is already a Freediver. It doesn’t matter how long you have held your breath or how deep you have gone. Part of our mission is to educate the masses on what it takes to freedive.
There are lots of reasons why people enjoy Freediving. Some people freedive because they don’t want to be encumbered by heavy scuba gear when they explore the ocean. Others go to take underwater photos or spearfish. For some people, they freedive in order to become more mentality and physically aware of their bodies. While it can be a relaxing activity that you can do over the weekend, it is also known as an international sport. We cover the latest news about competitions, as well as updated world records and attempts. Professional and competitive freedivers know how to use their bodies’ diving capabilities to go more than 200 meters underwater on a single breath. They have developed their diving reflexes to aid in conserving oxygen and restrict the flow of blood to the extremities. That way they are able to conserve the oxygen for their vital organs.
